TORONTO, ONT – The Design Exchange held it’s third annual Design Exchange Design Auction (DXDA) on Wednesday May 17th at the Design Exchange on Bay Street in downtown Toronto. The event attracted some 300 of Toronto movers and shakers from the design, fashion and social scene.
Guests were treated to a complimentary bar and food stations. The evening included 140 original designer items at the silent auction and a live auction hosted by famed former Christie’s Toronto SVP and DXDA Auctioneer Brett Sherlock. Among the items up for bid during the live auction included a rare Hermès Cuff donated by Sylvia Mantella and Maarten Baas’s Smoke Chair for Moooi.
This year’s Design Exchange Design Auction, chaired by Jeffrey Douglas, Mary Jo Looby, and Erin McLaughlin.
All proceeds from the evening’s event support the Design Exchange’s unmatched public and education programs including museum exhibitions, off-site initiatives as well as community outreach programs, workshops for kids and adults, and design competitions.
